Delete your organisation

This page explains how a licensed sponsor organisation can request removal of its entire Sponsoro workspace — including user accounts, sponsored worker records, documents, audit history and billing linkage for that organisation.

Because Sponsoro holds sponsor compliance records, we only accept whole-organisation deletion requests from someone with authority over the customer account, typically:

• Authorising Officer or Level 1 User named on the sponsor licence
• Another administrator explicitly delegated by your organisation
• The billing contact where they are the sole remaining administrator (verified case-by-case)

We may ask for confirmation from a second key contact or proof of organisation identity before processing a request submitted outside the application.

If you can still sign in, use the in-product privacy controls — they tie the request to your authenticated account and are the fastest route:

• Export any records you need for your own retention before requesting deletion

Export and billing

• Download audit packs or exports your organisation must keep for sponsor licence purposes
• Cancel or settle active subscriptions so billing does not continue after closure
• Tell invited colleagues they will lose access once the workspace is deleted

Sponsored workers

Your organisation remains the data controller for worker personal data. Deleting the Sponsoro workspace removes copies held in our platform; it does not replace your own statutory record-keeping duties. Workers should be directed to your privacy contact, not Sponsoro, for questions about records you hold outside the product.

Use the form below if you cannot access the app (for example lost credentials, departed administrators, or an orphaned trial workspace). Requests go to privacy@sponsoro.co.uk.

For an approved organisation deletion, we remove or anonymise customer workspace data such as:

• Organisation profile, licence metadata and configuration
• User accounts and invitations for that workspace
• Sponsored worker records, documents and compliance artefacts stored in Sponsoro
• Audit trail and activity history for that tenant (subject to legal retention below)
• Integration links and API credentials scoped to the organisation

Website marketing leads or support tickets that mention your organisation may be retained separately where needed for legitimate business records.

UK GDPR and sponsor compliance obligations mean we may pause or limit deletion when:

• An active legal hold or open investigation requires preservation
• Outstanding subscription charges or chargeback disputes are unresolved
• We cannot verify that the requester is authorised for the organisation
• A limited backup retention window has not yet expired (encrypted backups are purged on schedule)

We will explain any restriction and give you a expected timeline. Valid requests are normally completed within one month.

• All organisation users lose access immediately once deletion completes
• Organisation slugs and names may be released for reuse after a cooling-off period
• Confirmation is sent to the requester's email when processing finishes
